Research Interest:
|
(1) Biochemical Pharmacy and Enzyme Engineering: I am currently focusing my research on the Fibrinolytic Enzymes. During my Ph.D. study, I worked on the screening, isolation and cDNA cloning of fibrinolytic enzyme from Trichosanthes kirilowii and some other Chinese Herbal Medicines. In addition, I am also interested in enzyme purification, isolation, and characteristics identification.
(2) Microbial strains screening and culturing technology: Beginning from 2001, I have been working on the culturing of several microbial species using Vitreoscilla hemoglobin gene(vgb), for example, Bacillus thuringiensi, Bacillus subtilis, and Xanthomonas campestris. The results of my research have increased the productivity in microbial industry. I am also screening and culturing the Alkaline protease strains using protoplast fusion technique.
