Research Interest:
The focus of my research is on the phylogenetics and biodiversity of the root nodule bacteria from tropical plants, such as Mimosa pudica Linn., and the root nodule bacteria of tropical plant family Leguminosae. I am also focusing my research on the symbiotic mechanisms of root nodule bacteria, root nodule bacteria invasion process, characteristics of symbiotic relationships between α-root nodule bacteria and β- root nodule bacteria, and the exploration of symbiotic gene transfer in the evolution. Some of the root nodule bacteria are preserved in my lab. While keeping my research interests relate to root nodule bacteria, I am also interested in the study and screening of root nodule bacteria that can be used for the degradation of environmental pollutants.
