Research Interest:
My research centers on fossils, habitat, comparative morphology, systematics, zoogeography, individual and population ecology, and molecular evolutionary genetics of land snails; invertebrate chemical signal and communication mechanisms; exotic species invasion; invertebrate biodiversity and conservation.

I am a member of The International Union for Conservation of Nature, Species Survival Commission, a member of the Editorial Committee of “Fauna Sinica”, the editor of the Zoology part of “Encyclopedia of China”, and a referee of the China National Natural Science Foundation. I am also the PI of more than 12 research projects funded by China National 863 Project, China National Natural Science Foundation, and others, and have published more than 40 papers, 7 professional books, and have been granted 5 China patents.
